PAU CARAÏBES

In 1997, Rosa became the youngest Revue Leader in Paris at just 18 years old. She signed her contract at Pau Caraibes on her birthday and went on stage every day for 2 years.

At the time, it was the only Parisian revue to have a live singer and not a playback singer. The Lido and the Moulin Rouge regaining momentum in the early 2000s will follow suit.

There she met one of her mentors: Jorge Valdes, then artistic director and choreographer of the cabaret, as well as a baroque dancer at the Paris Opera. He will teach her to be a woman of the world: glamour, elegant walking on heels, exotic dances and choreographies, makeup,… She will remain his singer for a few years in his troupe Tropical Folies.

There she collaborated with the actress and singer Nadège Beausson-Diagne. During the show, they present a vocal duo in homage to the great ladies of salsa: Celia Cruz and India. Having become friends, Nadège introduced her to Deise Mikhail, the one who inspired her first album: “Vibracion del Alma” which was released in 2001.

It was also at Pau Caraibes that she met Philippe Lossen and the musicians who would soon later form the Havana Chic team, an exotic and chic quartet who would travel for more than 20 years.

The Pau Caraibes is 2 years of learning and stage training: singing and dancing every evening while training during the day at the show school “Forum du Mouvement” by Christian Pagès (singing / dancing / theater) .
